Kimberly Thomas

Artist in Residence
Brief info

"Community and education are my passion. Art is my language."

Kimberly Thomas is a Philadelphia-born educator, artist, and researcher. She currently works as artist in residence for Nassau county public schools. As an educator, she focuses on building creative thought, problem solving, and experimentation in an increasingly digital world. In her research, she documents informal art practices of other cultures that are being lost as a result of globalization. She earned her BFA in Studio art from Kutztown University, is currently working on her thesis for her Masters in Arts Education from the University of Florida, and enjoys painting, drawing, and fiber work
